Our 9 Point System Check is more than just detecting and removing viruses and spyware from your pc that can destroy your files and steal your information, but it also helps us to find other potential problems. The goal is to help prevent problems before they occur which can be much less costly.
Once we scan and remove any viruses or spyware on your pc we will attempt to update any existing virus scanning software you may have or install one that we recommend (Avast!) to help keep you safe from any future attacks. We run several different virus scanning programs (both in and outside of the operating system) to ensure that we cover everything.
Most of the time we can detect hard drive failure before it happens by scanning the drive for errors. If a problem is detected we can replace your hard drive and copy over everything so that nothing is lost.
Bad memory can make your computer unstable. This means that it may crash randomly and for seemingly no reason. This could corrupt you operating system files and your personal files. We will scan your memory and alert you if there are any problems detected.
Dust buildup is a problem in a computer. The main reason is heat. Computers rely on air to cool the components inside and dust greatly reduces that by clogging up the ways in which air enters and exits a pc and by settling on components and acting as an insulator.
Keeping Windows up to date is important. It fixes potential bugs and security flaws and sometimes adds additional features that can be beneficial. Overall it is key in helping Windows run at it's best.
